We are raising money for Mercy Corps Mongolia and Sworde Teppa.
We have chosen two charities, both based in Central Asia. Mercy Corps works in Mongolia helping to build rural communities since the collapse of communism. Life is very hard for farmers trying to survive in the desert and Mercy Corps is training communities to develop and look after themselves. Sworde Teppa is based in Tajikistan and run entirely by volunteers there and in the UK. Their aim is to teach locals to support themselves by giving them vocational and health skills. Sports and English lessons are also provided.
